Giant Journeys

Ancient Egypt Workshop Amina’s Journey

Step back thousands of years and meet Amina, a 12-year-old girl living in Ancient Egypt.

In this unique and immersive Ancient Egypt workshop, pupils enter an Egyptian tomb filled with objects, clues and stories from the past. Through digital exploration, team challenges and live interaction with our AI character Amina, children discover what life was like beside the River Nile.

But Amina needs their help.

Her true Egyptian name was taken from her long ago. To uncover it, pupils must investigate the tomb, complete a series of challenges and collect the letters that reveal her forgotten identity.

And the most exciting part?

Your pupils can speak directly with Amina, ask their own questions about Ancient Egypt and gather clues to help solve the quest.

It is Ancient Egyptian history brought to life in a way children will never forget.

Overview

During the session, pupils will be able to speak with Amina through our live AI-powered character experience.

They can ask questions such as:

  • What was life like for children in Ancient Egypt?
  • Why was the River Nile so important?
  • What happened when a pharaoh died?
  • Why did Egyptians make mummies?
  • What did Ancient Egyptians eat?
  • What do the hieroglyphics mean?

Amina answers in real time, allowing the children’s own curiosity to become part of the experience. Some of her answers may also provide vital information needed to complete their quest.

The workshop supports learning about:

• Everyday life in Ancient Egypt
• The River Nile
• Pharaohs and Egyptian society
• Mummification and beliefs about the afterlife
• Hieroglyphics and writing
• Egyptian objects and artefacts
