Imagine walking into assembly expecting the usual announcements… only to discover a five-metre-long T-Rex is waiting for you.
That could soon be happening at six primary schools across Hertfordshire, Nottinghamshire and the West Midlands.
Our hugely popular Giant Journeys dinosaur competition is back, and this time we’re giving TWO primary schools in each area the chance to win a completely FREE visit from Reggie the T-Rex.
And yes – Reggie really is enormous.
Could Reggie the T-Rex be coming to your school?
Reggie is our five-metre-long animatronic T-Rex and the rather large star of our Giant Journeys Dinosaur Visit.
We’ve already seen first-hand just how much excitement these competitions create. Previous Giant Journeys dinosaur competitions have attracted thousands of votes from parents, teachers, families and local communities, all trying to bring Reggie to their school.
Now it’s the turn of schools in three more areas.
The competition is open to primary schools across Hertfordshire, Nottinghamshire and the West Midlands, with two winning schools being chosen in each area.
Best of all, you don’t need to be a teacher to get involved.
Parents, grandparents, teachers, friends and members of the local community can all vote for their chosen school.

What happens if your school wins?
This isn’t a cardboard dinosaur turning up for a photo.
Reggie is a five-metre-long animatronic T-Rex.
Our Dinosaur Visits are designed to bring the prehistoric world into school in spectacular fashion, creating one of those experiences children tend to talk about long after the school day has finished.
Giant Journeys was launched in 2024 with a simple aim: to make learning an experience rather than something children simply watch or read about.
Today our primary school Journeys include dinosaurs and fossils, forensic science, immersive VR and our latest AI-powered historical characters, allowing pupils to speak to characters from the Stone Age, Ancient Egypt, Roman times and the First World War.
How to give your school the best chance
Voting only takes a moment – but don’t stop there.
Once you’ve voted, share the competition with other parents, your PTA, school Facebook groups, WhatsApp groups, friends and family and ask them to vote too.
These competitions have a wonderful habit of becoming very competitive once schools realise Reggie is up for grabs!
So, which school should he visit next?
Choose your area above, cast your vote and then get sharing.
